Explanation of Service: Counselling Therapy

Our counselling therapy services are designed to provide a supportive, safe, and confidential space where individuals can explore personal challenges related to mental health, trauma, and addictions recovery. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of professional ethics, legal responsibility, and client-centered care.

Confidentiality

Your privacy is a top priority. All information shared during sessions is strictly confidential and protected in accordance with Canadian privacy laws and professional ethical guidelines. Exceptions to confidentiality include:

  • If there is a risk of harm to yourself or others

  • Suspected child or elder abuse

  • A legal subpoena or court order

These situations will be discussed with you whenever possible.

Legal & Ethical Standards

All counselling services are delivered in accordance with the ethical codes and standards of practice set by recognized professional regulatory bodies in Canada. We strive to maintain a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment for all clients, regardless of background or identity.

Appointments

Counselling sessions are scheduled by appointment only. Each session typically lasts 50 to 60 minutes. Clients may choose weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly appointments based on their needs. Virtual and in-person sessions are available for flexibility and accessibility. Note : Missed appointments will be fully charged as a regular session.

Fees of Service

Our fee structure is as follows:

  • Individual Counselling: $ 120 per session

  • Group Workshops: $ 40 per participant/session

  • Couple Counselling: $ 140 per session

Payment is due at the time of service. Accepted payment methods include e-transfer or cash.

Note: Receipts will be provided for insurance or reimbursement purpose

Consent

Before beginning therapy, all clients are required to provide informed consent. This includes understanding:

  • The nature and purpose of counselling

  • Your rights as a client

  • The limits of confidentiality

  • The risks and benefits of therapy

  • The ability to withdraw consent at any time

A consent form will be reviewed and signed prior to the start of services. Clients are encouraged to ask questions at any time to ensure they feel comfortable and informed.
