Mental Health and Addictions support

TLC Supports Counselling Services provides both peer group meetings and facilitated meetings to provide ongoing supports. These meetings are intended for people who are struggling with mental health and addictions who are just looking for daily ongoing support to help maintain their emotional health and sobriety. These meetings will be informal or formal; an opportunity for group discussions, and participants will be provided with some tools and resources as part of their “daily” maintenance of recovery. Participants will acknowledge that these are confidential meeting. What you hear here and who you see here will stay here. Personal views and level of participation will be respected. Anxiety Counselling/Depression Counselling/Grieving Counselling

Anxiety counselling - Recognizing signs and symptoms of anxiety and finding various strategies on how to manage it. Signs and symptoms may include the fear of the future, lack of control and the feeling like having a heart attack.

Depression counselling - Recognizing signs and symptoms of depression and finding various strategies on how to manage it. Signs and symptoms may include  regrets of the past. – should have; could have thinking styles, lack of motivation, or shame.

Grieving Counselling - There’s no way to fast-forward through an individual’s feelings of grief. We have to work it.   The loss of someone, loss of relationship, loss of a pet, or the loss of an addiction.
